Traditional Climbing
Alpine peaks, Yosemite big walls, desert spires, and hundreds of routes at Smith Rock have this in common: you can’t climb them unless you know how to place gear. Take your adventure to the next level by learning the skills necessary to crack climb. Topics include placing/cleaning active and passive protection, building and equalizing anchors, protecting the follower, rope management, and crack climbing techniques such as hand and foot jams. For those who prefer the road less traveled, trad climbing is the way to go.
